Big Fucking Robots

BFR is a playset for Fiasco, by Bully Pulpit Games.

It’s the year 38 of the New Space Era, whatever the hell that means. The Earth Union Federation and the space-dwellers of the Aetolian Tripartite are at war over the prodigious natural resources of the Jovian Trojan asteroid cluster and the mysterious technology found there. 

Or something like that, anyway. The war’s pointless, lifeless, a machine that crushes people beneath its steel-toed jackboot in service to distant aristocrats. They’ve built giant robots to do the killing for them, and pressed human beings into serving as their hearts. Being a good soldier, a good pilot, means letting the bastards wring you dry of all the killing you have in you, and then sending you to die on a hunk of rock without a name. 

So fuck ‘em. This story isn’t about them, not really;

It’s about you, the mecha pilots and scientists and warship captains of these expeditionary forces, and about how you stop serving the selfish ambitions of those distant masters, and start serving your own selfish ambitions. You have a 40 foot mecha! What could possibly go wrong?
